War and Peace in the Life of Language: A Symposium on the Role of Extra- and Intralinguistic Conflicts in the Development of Language Theory and Practice is an international linguistics symposium focusing on the role of conflict in the development of language theory and practice.
The symposium, which is jointly organised by colleagues at the Universities of Birmingham and Nottingham, is taking place on 25 and 26 April 2014 at the University of Nottingham (UK Campus).
